On December 25, 2007 SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. (SANYO) announced amendments to the accounting of impairment assets for previous financial results. In the media today there were reports that some of the amendments were made due to losses occurring in the affiliated companies of the LCD TV business. However, the amendments were made to the losses in affiliated companies of the LCD panel business, not in the affiliates of the LCD TV business.
