Tokyo, April 25, 2007----SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. (SANYO) will be making the following organizational and Corporate Executive changes with the objective of strengthening each corporate function. Specifically, all corporate level strategic decision-making will be centralized under the Corporate Planning Headquarters, which will be under the direct control of the President. In addition, changes will be made in the roles and responsibilities of Corporate Executive in order to speed up and simplify the enforcement of decisions.

In order to centralize the organization of corporate-level core strategic functions, control of each function will be transferred to one of the headquarters.

• 'GLOBAL EVOLUTION PJ Management Group' will be incrementally dissolved.
• The 'CS and Product Quality H.Q.' and 'Product Engineering H.Q.' will be newly established to strengthen Product quality control, customer satisfaction (CS) and production technology.
