Moriguchi Plant Burnt to the Ground

Moriguchi Plant Burnt to the Ground
After giving the manager all the necessary instructions, Toshio quickly left for his business trip. While on the train, he wrote a letter to the manager. The manager and other executives expected to lose their jobs over this very costly mistake. In fact the opposite was true. In the letter Toshio did not criticize but rather explained in detail what measures he would like taken. Toshio ended the letter by relaying how he looked at the incident, "I think we should take this as a learning experience and use it to help us grow in the future. I believe we must continue to work hard and not give up if we want to succeed." When the manager read this letter aloud to the plant employees, everyone committed themselves to working harder than ever to produce high-quality bicycle lamps equal to none.
On arriving at the second site, Toshio received a call from the head office in Moriguchi, Osaka. Again it was not good news. Toshio learned that the entire Moriguchi Plant had burnt to the ground.
