| SANYO believes participation in volunteer activities can
help employees develop well-rounded personalities and gain a consumer's perspective
which, in turn, can become an important corporate asset and eventually lead to
the growth of the company. Based on this belief, SANYO is dedicated to establishing
a work environment that encourages employees to take part in volunteer activities
and to providing them with volunteer opportunities. These efforts are mainly promoted
by the Volunteer Promotion Committee consisting of SANYO management and labor
union representatives. |

Launched in 1998, the "Community Gift" system has
offered NPOs (which SANYO employees belong to) donations in the forms of SANYO
products and financial support for the purchasing of needed equipment. By linking
SANYO, its employees and non-profit organizations (NPOs), this system aims to
enhance employee awareness of volunteering and encourages them to make more meaningful
contributions to local communities. In 2003, system eligibility was expanded to
include SANYO "old boys" group members in addition to employees, senior
staff and non-regular workers of SANYO and other companies with which the SANYO
labor union has concluded labor agreements.
