| Since 1999, SANYO has organized an "Environment for
All" campaign based on the key theme of protecting forests and water. For
the first year, an overseas work camp was organized in Sarawak, Malaysia, an environmentally
devastated region due to encroaching deforestation. SANYO employees, in cooperation
with local NGO members, installed a water pump system. By volunteering their time
and effort for this project, all participants learned the importance of harmony
with the environment and conserving forests and water, as well as the need for
international cooperation. |
